Entries for our 2019 Area Gymnastics and Talent activities have now closed.

We are now accepting entries for our 2019 area track and field activities such as sprints, long races, relays, long jump, long puck, shot putt, javelin, high jump, hurdles, discus. Open to girls and boys resident in the Arklow area and under the age specified on July 31st. 2019.

Age groups over six and under 8,10, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 years.

Join our Arklow team and represent your area at the 2019 county track and field finals which will take place in Shillelagh on Saturday 15th. June 2019.

It is not the winning that is most important it is the taking part.

Arklow Community games are now accepting entries for their 2019 area talent activities such as Solo Singing, Solo Dance Modern/Disco, Solo Music, Solo Recitation, Group Drama/Comedy Sketch, Group Singing, Group Dance Modern/Disco, Group Music, Group Dance Irish Contemporary.

Age Groups – Girls and Boys over 6 and under 12 or over 12 and under 16 years.

Area swimming activity 2019 open to girls and boys resident in the Arklow area and under the age specified on July 31st 2019.

Competitors must be able to swim at least one length of pool.

Under 8 & over 6 – one length of pool – Freestyle

Under 10 & over 8 – one length of pool – Freestyle

Under 10 & over 8 – one length of pool – Backstroke

Under 12 & over 10 – two lengths of pool – Freestyle

Under 12 & over 10 – two lengths of pool – Backstroke

Under 12 & over 10 – two lengths of pool – Breaststroke

Under 14 & over 12 – two lengths of pool – Freestyle

Under 14 & over 12 – two lengths of pool – Backstroke

Under 14 & over 12 – two lengths of pool – Breaststroke

Under 14 & over 12 – two lengths of pool – Butterfly

Under 16 & over 14 – two lengths of pool – Freestyle

Under 16 & over 14 – two lengths of pool – Backstroke

Under 16 & over 14 – two lengths of pool – Butterfly

Under 13 & over 10 – relay 4×1 lengths of pool – Freestyle

Under 16 & over 13 – 4x50m medley relay in this order backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle

Area finals will take place if necessary.

The county Wicklow swimming finals will take place at the Coral Leisure Swimming Pool Arklow on Saturday 30th of March 2019.

The national swimming finals will take place in Limerick on the weekend of the 25th, 26th of May 2019

Entries for our 2019 area art and hand writing competitions have now closed.

We are now accepting entries for our 2019 area swimming, gymnastics, talent and athletics activities which are open to girls and boys over six and resident in the Arklow area and under the age specified on July 31st 2019 sponsored by Arklow Credit Union ltd. Arklow Shipping and Arklow Gym Club.

Under 10 & Over 6 years and Under 12 & Over 10 years.

We extend an invitation to girls and boys resident in the Arklow area to please write in their own handwriting the text as supplied with entry form.

Competitors name, address, date of birth and home contact telephone number must be clearly marked on the back of their entry form.

Entries must be with Sadie O’Reilly 17 Fernhill, Arklow, County Wicklow by the closing date for entries of Friday 1st March 2019.

Judging and presentation of area medals will take place March/April.

The best two entries in each age group will be forwarded to the county games committee for a second round judging competition.

Qualifiers will go forward to represent their area at the county live hand writing finals in Dunlavin National School on Sunday 28th April 2019.
